Boo Ritson : D is for Donut, 6 October 2011 - 2 January 2012
This exhibition takes a retrospective look at the work of Boo Ritson
Best known for her unique style of working that merges painting, sculpture, performance and photography, she physically paints her subjects in thick emulsion paint and has the scene photographed whilst the paint is still wet. Fascinated with American culture, her work often deals with characters and still lives drawn from imagined narratives and American Iconography.
