Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre
A wildlife haven in the centre of the city. Information centre with display room with live exhibits, a hands-on activity room, a pocket money gift shop and a beautiful natural garden divided into different habitats to attract a wide range of wildlife. There is a brass rubbing nature trail around the ground and we often have children`s activities in the school holidays.
The cafe has a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks and ice cream. There is a conservatory seating area as well as picnic tables on the terrace. Admission free.

Nearest major road is A33. Follow A33 towards city centre, turn right after Cowherds pub into Northlands Road and right again into Cemetery Road, parking available here.
Public Transport Directions
Nearest station is Southampton Central. Walk up hill to Civic Centre, continue straight ahead with clock on left. Take 2nd left into Above Bar. Continue north along London Road and The Avenue to Northlands Road/Cemetery Road on left, take this path to Hawthorns.
