Turner Sims

Turner Sims is acknowledged as one of the finest music venues in the country. Hosting over 60 concerts a year, it attracts internationally renowned performers such as Hayley Westernra, Courtney Pine, Jamie Cullum, guitarist John Williams and pianist Alfred Brendel.

Situated on Southampton University's Highfield campus, the varied programme includes classical, jazz, folk and world music, as well as talks from personalities such as actor and adventurer Charley Boorman, BBC geologist Iain Stewart and award-winning travel writer William Dalrymple.

With over 50,000 visitors passing through the doors each year, the Turner Sims is central to arts activity in the Hampshire region. The intimate auditorium, outstanding acoustic and garden setting make it a favourite destination for artists and audiences alike.

Road Directions

From M3 southbound: Continue ot the end of the motorway toward the City Centre- A33. At Hilton roundabout go straight across still following City Centre signs, then straight across at the next mini roundabout. At the major traffic lights at the crossroads turn left into Burgess Road, signposted Fareham/Portsmouth. At the next set of traffic lights (just past the Shell Fareham/Portsmouth. At the next set of traffic lights (just past the Shell garage) turn right into University Road. Follow signs on campus for Turner Sims.
