Woodmill is a specialist canoeing centre with access to a private lake and the River Itchen, The Waters around Woodmill together with the Centre's lake provide superb conditions for those taking their first paddle.

The Centre has modern teaching facilities, expert tuition and home to a comprehensively stocked Woodmill Canoe Shop.

The Centre has extensive grounds of 17 acres offering a wide range of activities for adults and young people including: Paddlesport, Low and Hight Ropes, Bushcraft, Orienteering, Climbing, Zipwire, Trapeze, Archery, Tunnelling, Bridge Making, Rafting, Shelter Building, Challenge Course and Environmental Studies all year round.

Woodmill also has a scheduled camping area which is available for group use. The Centre owns a comprehensive fleet of boats, lecture rooms, a comfortable lounge and wheelchair access to changing rooms and downstairs classrooms. The fleet, specialist kit and equipment are reguarly updated,inspected and maintained. Due to our modern facilities we are able to cater for participants with physical and or learning disabilities.

Parties, individual and group courses, clubs, tasters and activities are offered from 8 years old. All teaching staff are trained and qualified to national standards for watersports and land activities.

All of the activities are fantastic sports which can be enjoyed by everyone no matter who you are. If you would like to have a go at either paddling or climbing we run 3 hour taster sessions from May to September. The Centre will supply all the specialist equipment and protective clothing to keep you warm and safe. All you need is a pair of non slip shoes (which may get wet). Our fully qualified instructors will give you expert tuition to get out and about and enjoying yourself in no time in a safe and stimulating environment.
